    to Jazmin: haaaave you ever read New Moon like EVER? because he wants vampirism to get exposed so he's taking his shirt off so that his skin gets all sparkly and the Volturi will kill him...
    (though, I think Stephenie Meyer knew there was going to be a movie before she wrote this . . . ahhhhhhhhhn excuse to see him shirtles?)
